Prompts Tuesday February 12th For some reason, those who are working at the Ministry are feeling a bit...odd. Not really odd, but just rather open and honest. It isn't until later in the day that the reason behind this is found out - someone seems to have slipped a mild Truth Serum into the Ministry's water sytem. While it isn't strong enough to force people to tell the truth, they're certainly quite a bit more compelled to it. (People who are more susceptible to truth serums will probably actually tell the truth when asked a question, whereas others will be able to stop themselves.)
Through February 13th Enid Longbottom is hosting a Valentine's Exchange on behalf of the Care of Magical Creatures Club - starting February 1st through February 13th, she'll have a table set up in the Great Hall during lunch and dinner, where people can come up and send out Valentine's to their fellow friends at Hogwarts. They can have the option of leaving a note/message or just sending it anomomyously.
There are two choices for Valentines: 1 Knut - Charmed heart with simple note attached. 1 Sickle - Rose or Honeydukes Chocolate Heart with decorated hand-made note.
Thursday February 14th - Valentine's Day Ah, Valentine's Day. It's a day to be with the one that you love most - or, well, forcibly be with someone. Yes, it seems like some sort of prankster let what everyone is suspecting are supposed to be cupids loose on the school. If one to take a closer inspection, they might notice that some bare a striking to resemblence to the mistletoe that was plaguing the school in December. There aren't an overwhelming amount of cupids, but enough to certainly be noticed. However, these cupids don't have bows and arrows. Instead, they are equipped with lassos of sorts that they use to entrap two people at random. What do you have to do to get free? Well, kiss of course! While the pairings are at random, it is to be noted that these cupids have odd taste. It seems that they understand just how old or young certain people they capture are and depending on how old or young the couple is depends on just what sort of kiss has to be expressed. The teachers are obviously trying to round these cupids up, but they're still floating on well into the night.
Saturday February 16th The Future Auror Club is hosting a Meet An Auror program, which will start at 6 in the evening in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. A few Aurors from the Minsitry of Magic will be visiting to explain what it really means to be an Auror, describe the Auror program through the Ministry, and answer any questions that the students might have. They will also be announcing an internship program that students can apply for that will take place during the Easter holidays. The Ministry will be taking four students (two girls and two boys) to shadow an Auror each during the week. Any interested sixth or seventh year students must owl an application to the Ministry by 15 March, 1977.
Sunday February 17th In an attempt to lighten the mood at the school, the USO is hosting a Talent Showcase. All students who are interested in participating must audition in front of a panel of professors and the co-heads of the organization starting at noon in the choir room. Think you're talented? Why not try?
