WHO Jane Foster & Eleven (with Lizbet) WHAT Checking out the TARDIS WHEN A couple of hours after this WHERE The park WARNINGS TBD, will update if needed STATUS Closed | Incomplete
She'd had her eyes peeled ever since Rose's message had come through, just to be prepared for whenever the Doctor did reach out. She'd jumped at the opportunity to visit. The truth was, as much as she wanted to experience the TARDIS, she was more worried about him and whatever it was he'd been through. It had been a while since she'd watched the show, wasn't sure where he was coming back from, but most all the big points of his arc with Amy, Rory and River were painful. She hoped that by bringing Lizbet by, it'd be something of a distraction for him and a reminder of a connection he had that didn't have anything to do with being a Timelord.
She arrived at the park as promised and found the TARDIS easily enough. It wasn't as if there were a lot of blue Police boxes in Madison Valley after all. "Eleven?" Jane called as she knocked on the front door. "I've got someone looking forward to seeing her favorite Uncle and she's getting kind of antsy." That was a bit of a fib, since Lizbet was actually remarkably well behaved since Jane timed the visit well. Her daughter had been fed and changed, and had napped prior to them walking over. The stroller's movements had kept her in a state of contentment, so Lizbet was actually quite happy and not very fussy at all.
Jane wasn't sure how best to approach him, how to make sure she could check on him reasonably without ticking him off. The Doctor was very mercurial in a lot of ways, depending on the subject, so it was hard to gauge how he'd respond. She was just going to have to pay extraordinarily close attention to his responses and general demeanor and rely on his companions to fill in the blanks. Jane wasn't delusional enough to think she mattered more or could get through to him when the others couldn't. She just had to try.
