Samirah's hijab came off less in Madison Valley than it did back home. She had considered Magnus and the others on Floor 19 family and so she was comfortable with letting the scarf off her head more then than now. In Madison Valley, her hijab came off only had home with Ariadne and in the solitude of the female-only time in the prayer room at the mosque.
She was going through her own prayers after the gathering had happened, kneeling on the prayer mat in front of her. Her thought went to home, as it normally did. She hoped Amir was okay. She hoped the world wasn't facing Ragnarok without her. She knew people here assured her time worked differently in Madison Valley, but she was sure the worry would always be there for her.
Beside her, folded, was her green hijab. She never wore a different one, but it wasn't because she didn't feel she could branch off into other colours. It was that her scarf was special. As she sat there and prayed, it glimmered and occasionally took on the same pattern as the rug it sat on. Samirah didn't notice as she was too focused at the moment asking Allah to watch over her grandparents.
