Nancy Gama & Trixie
Nancy knew this holiday considering it was always insane around Mexico around this time of year, but it was never one she celebrated. Until recently she had either no one she cared about who was gone or it was a person they still had hope for and didn’t want to think he was gone. All that was different now for Nancy. Mayaken was always on her mind, but he was the one everyone kept hoping was still alive with no real evidence on whether that might be true or not. He wasn’t her son; however, the boy was important to Elvis and Keta, making him important to her and someone she’d do anything for. The ones she knew for sure were gone were the three kids and Ramiro. Damn him! Nancy was glad he saved his daughter, but the loss of him was hurting more than she’d admit.
First person she ever had romantic feelings for who knew the real her and still thought she was pretty. First person who even while fearing her at first for what she was had always been around to watch her back. He could’ve left when she was dying in the cold water, but he didn’t. This was why feelings were such a messy thing and something she avoided because then when they were gone it hurt. Needing to clear her head, she moved away from where people were doing the whole honoring the people they lost to go check out anything but that.
The sight of Trixie caught her attention, moving over to the young girl. “Hola Trixie. I see you found your way to this Day of the Dead celebration.” Nancy never wanted kids; however, she was good with them considering she was like a giant kid herself or so Elvis always pointed out to her.
