Leo & Sombra
Sombra had made a promise to Penelope that she would drop by the gathering. Being from Mexico herself, she had close relations to everything that Día de Muertos stood for. That didn't necessarily mean she celebrated or followed it religiously. She had lost too much when she was a young child to worry too much but this was nice.
It gave the town a little breath of something familiar from her home country even if it was many years in the future.
She watched from afar as Leo made his offering amidst the other decorations on the altar. Seeing the youth carry on the tradition of the holiday was enough for Sombra to catch a lump in her throat. She didn't do emotions well; she didn't like to show them to anyone. Even Birkhoff.
Moving away from where she stood, Sombra came up behind Leo as he approached the food. "I'm sure they miss you too, amigo. Think they're having a good afterlife?"
