Who: Agent Washington (and Church) and Tony Stark What: Armor Adjustments When: Saturday afternoon Where: The Stark household Warnings: TBD but probably talk of injuries or PTSD Status: Closed/in progress
It probably would have been easier to have someone come to their house to look at Wash's armor but they didn't have a lot of tools for working on armor past general maintenance. Church and Delta were the computer systems for running diagnostics so they could be anywhere that the Freelancers (or Tucker or Charlie) could be so they weren't exactly locked into one location with things. It was just that the armor was much heavier than it looked. A fully armored soldier in Mark VI armor weighed around 400 pounds or more if you were a giant like Maine had been. That was why Carolina's speed boost was so impressive. If you were hit by her in full speed boost it was like being mowed down by a freight train.
Wash was wearing the protective mesh armored undersuit for the armor under his street clothes figuring that they would need to actually put the armor on him to adjust it and he would rather not have to change once they got going.
Church was in full on asshole mode because he wouldn't let him inside his head so the trip to take the armor to be looked at had already just about been enough to make him turn around and go home. It had taken about fifteen more minutes after that for Church to get a clue that he'd hit the wall so now he was sulking in the storage unit of Wash's armor but at least he wasn't talking. All of it had given him a headache and he wished he'd brought York or Tucker with him to help out but Wash was determined to do things on his own when he could so it was just him and the AI that hopefully would be more helpful when they got down to adjusting things.
Wash hadn't worn the armor since he'd been back. He hadn't worn his armor back home either since they hadn't wanted him to use it during physical therapy. But now he was ready to start training with it again so it had to fit correctly or it would be more likely to injure him rather than protect him from getting hurt and that was the last thing he needed.
He showed up with a case with wheels with the armor inside along with what tools he had for maintenance and hoped this Tony guy actually did know what he was doing like Church said.
