The whole years thing was still hard for Steve to comprehend, but things just felt different here. He could go home, had done it a few times, and feel like it was the blink of an eye but every day here felt longer and relationships were deeper. It was hard to describe and definitely not something o be talking about with a brand new arrival. He'd worry about getting her feeling a little less frightened first.
So just shook her hand lightly. "Steve Rogers. It's nice to meet you, Lizzie. Don't apologize; this place takes some getting used to. I'd say you're doing alright for just getting the talk."
The talk part, he recalled, was the most baffling. Until the first bout of dome weirdness he'd experienced, at least. Lucky for her she'd just missed some and another wasn't likely right away.
