Mazikeen was not sure what to expect from the woman or if she would even reply at all. However, hearing her response, Mazikeen had to smirk. She was honest at least. The demon could appreciate the honesty even as she tried to conceal her voice from the small amount of patrons currently shopping around the store.
"I'm guessing this place runs on that principle alone," Mazikeen replied, but she did make a point to shift a bit closer to where the jewelry section was located. Maybe she could find something of value there as the clerk suggested. It was worth a shot.
"Actually, it was. It made me curious since I hardly consider this town capable of holding much in the way of treasure."
