Who: Nico Minoru and Karolina Dean What: Vacation Where: Their room in Mexico When: Saturday Oct. 5 (backdated) Warning: Heading toward sexytimes Status: Closed/Incomplete Gdoc (continuing in comments)
Nico was actually excited about something. She and Karolina had discussed a weekend mini vacation a few months ago, and now it was really happening. It would only be a few days, but she planned to make the most of it. It was already the best vacation because she'd be there with Karolina.
They'd chosen Mexico because it was warm and sunny, and it had beautiful beaches. The hotel was very nice, too, and it had wonderful views. One other good thing? No school. Nico did as much of her weekend homework as possible when she got home yesterday. Whatever wasn't done? Oh well. It wasn't high on her list of priorities.
Basking in the sun and eating Mexican food was on that list, but getting to spend time with Karolina was number one.
"Wow, can you believe these views?" she asked as she headed out onto the balcony.
It was the first thing she'd done once they arrived in their room.

Karolina set her suitcase down by the bed and took a deep breath as she looked around the room. She was excited they had come, and incredibly grateful they had this chance, and the best part in her opinion was that she was with Nico, and they didn’t have anyone else around to distract them. Or anything else.
“I believe it,” Karolina said with a smile as she stood for a moment, just watching her girlfriend while she was silhouetted by the sun. Yeah, she was definitely going to have inspiration here. Grinning a bit, she walked out to the balcony herself so she could lean against the railing beside Nico, leaning over so she could check out everything.
“I wish that we were here all the time, instead of Madison Valley. It’s gorgeous here.”

It truly was like they'd been whisked away to another universe, a fairytale land. Except they were in Mexico. It was a real place in their world. Who needed fantasy when they had this very real thing.
"Right? Why couldn't the dome trap everyone here instead of Indiana?" Nothing against Indiana, but it wasn't exactly exciting. "I guess we're lucky enough to have a chance to go to places like this. I think this was a good decision."
That was probably the biggest understatement she'd ever made. Of course this was an excellent choice.

“I’ve missed living near the beach,” Karolina confessed. “That was probably the best part about living in LA, actually. We could go whenever we wanted.” Not that the others had liked it quite as much as Karo, but she liked the waves and sand and watching all the people she could draw and paint. “Everytime you like at the beach, it never looks the same. I miss that.”
Smiling a little, she looked over at Nico. “But being here is definitely a close second.”
***
"I miss it, too. One of the few things from home I miss...other than our friends." Nico might have even missed her parents a little...well, maybe just her dad. She'd never admit that out loud, though.
But this wasn't the time to be thinking about that. She reached for Karolina's hand, deciding that was a better thing to be doing. "I know I keep saying this, but I am so glad you've been here, too. I could not have gotten through this year without you."
With a little smile, she added, "And look at us now. We're watching the waves in Mexico...alone."
That was another part of this trip she was grateful for.
***
“Yeah, that’s a constant miss,” she replied, and her own thoughts were similar to Nico’s. She missed her parents too, despite what they’d done.
When Nico took her hand, the blonde smiled brighter. “Neither could I have. My life would be so boring if you hadn’t been here.” It was still a little wild to know they’d been together for a year now, but Karolina wouldn’t ask for things to be any other way.
“Yeah - it’s romantic. And beautiful,” she added, taking a step closer - and her eyes were completely on her girlfriend, not the view.
***
Everything about this was romantic. That was partly what Nico was hoping for. They were alone, no one around to disturb them. With that thought in mind, Nico moved slightly closer to Karolina and gently brushed a strand of hair from her face. It was enough to allow her to look right into her eyes.
"There's only one view I care about right now."
It was maybe a cheesy line, but damn, Nico knew how amazing and beautiful her girlfriend was. She wasn't letting that ever go unnoticed, especially now in this perfect setting.
***
Karolina smiled at that because the cheesiest of the words made her want to laugh, but overall? She didn’t mind it in the slightest. Closing the distance, Karolina reached out to tug Nico closer and kissed her tenderly while her hands sild into the other girl’s dark hair. After a few seconds, she broke the kiss and gave a faint smirk.
“Tell me more about this view.”
***
The kiss might have been broken for the time being, but the same could not be said for their proximity. Nico wasn't ready to pull away from Karolina. She knew this exact moment couldn't last forever, but they could try, right?
"Honestly," she said a little smirk of her own, her eyes still on Karolina. "I don't really want to be talking right now."
