WHO Amaar Rashid & Ariadne (with a guest appearance by Layla) WHAT Awkward conversations WHEN Monday morning WHERE Amaar & Layla's place WARNINGS TBD, will update as needed STATUS Closed | Incomplete
Ariadne was very, very glad that she'd woken up not wrapped up in Amaar. It made it much easier to painstakingly extract herself from bed without waking him up. That was just not something she was willing to deal with before coffee, although she wasn't so sure that she wanted to have the conversation at all. Luckily, she did have some clothes there so she put those on as quietly as she could and snuck out. It was a minor miracle that he didn't wake up through the whole thing and she was so incredibly close to escaping so that they could just ignore the whole thing and never, ever talk about it.
Her luck ran out as soon as she saw Layla in the kitchen, working on making breakfast. As much as she'd tried to just run away, Layla had extracted a promise that she come back after morning prayers. That would give her enough time to check in on Samirah, shower and change, all of her main excuses as to why she couldn't stay to talk to Amaar about what the past week had been like. As much as she didn't want to admit it, the teenager was right, so she went and did all those things, only to come back about an hour later.
"Okay, you two are going to sit here and talk, and I am going to sit right there, with my book and my headphones because you need some kind of chaperoning, but I really don't want to hear about your sex lives, okay?" Layla said to the two of them. They were looking at her like they'd both rather be anywhere but exactly where they were, but she wasn't about to let them just ignore the fact that they'd been married for the past week. "Oh, and I'm also going to point out that you guys were married last week so I'm going to say that's a pass on said sex life and that's all I'm going to say about that." Layla gave her guardian a pointed look before she settled into the armchair and put her headphones in.
Ariadne felt a slight blush color her cheeks. It was a complicated thing all around but considering the fact that she didn't want this to lose her friendship with Amaar over this, she knew this was something they needed to do. She sighed and took a seat on the couch, letting him pick if he wanted to sit on the other end of the couch or in the other armchair. "We should talk about it," she admitted. "I just...am not sure where to start."
