When: Saturday Night
Where: An undisclosed location in Madison
What: Post-match girl talk. It's a thing.
Warnings: Language, probably.
Status: Closed/In-Progress
It wasn't often someone could make her bleed. In fact, it was rare. Cassie had to be off her game to allow a hit that hard. Those were the fights that she liked, though. She preferred the challenge over an easy win. That was when she didn't mind losing. That's when she took her loss like the professional she deemed herself to be.
That had been her fight with the other blonde girl. Cassie wasn't sure of her name, but she didn't need it. You didn't necessarily make friends in this sort of business. You usually ended up never seeing the same person twice or you ended up bitter rivals until the other fell out of the circuit.
There was a reason why no one talked about the fight clubs and why so few ever knew where to find them. It was why they paid top dollar for good fights, which Cassie was glad to give them.
She had been in the middle of inspecting a few areas where bruises should have been. Even the knick that had caused the faint bloodstain on her white tank had healed already. It was a shame, though. Cassie would have liked to have kept her scars. They were trophies after all. They had stories and warnings.
She wanted a story of her own.
Turning her attention to the approaching footsteps, she couldn't but grin at who they belonged to. "I thought for a hot second you were going to leave me lying on the floor to take another hit. I think she was mad that it was me and not you, though." Cassie laughed and pulled her hair tie from a messy ponytail.
"How's it feel to be a winner tonight? Or again, I guess. I don't think it ever gets old, though."
