Elena & Grantaire
Grantaire liked Elena. She was sweet, and smart. And had a wicked sense of humour, which he appreciated. The only trouble was...she wasn't the person he wanted holding his arm, today. Not really. So far, he thought he'd done admirably at not being too obvious about keeping half an eye out for a particular blond head amongst the many people.
But he wasn't here for that. He fully intended to have a good time with Elena. He'd asked her here, after all. He wasn't going to be miserable at her expense.
As she looked over the extravagant spread of food he sipped his wine. "Have you always been vegetarian?" He asked curiously, considering what looked to be some kind of quiche. "I will admit, I cannot imagine it." And the other sort, vegans. To give up cheese? That sounded like abject torture.
