Jane F & Peter P
She was mostly not paying attention as someone arrived at the bar after she did. Jane was more interested in making sure she'd gotten a very expensive free glass of wine that was very, very full. It would probably be her last of the night since she was still breastfeeding, but she wanted to at least keep to her promise that she'd only have two glasses. They hadn't discussed how filled the glasses were meant to be though and that was a loophole she was comfortable with exploiting.
It wasn't until she turned that she caught sight of him and, even though she'd never seen a picture of him before, recognized him instantly. He looked like a mix of his father and his grandfather. Jane was so startled that she dropped her wine glass between them and the red liquid seeped across the ground. The sound of the glass breaking snapped her out of it.
"Oh my god, I'm so- I'm so sorry, I- you-" Jane floundered and she looked frantically around the room for her brother. He'd know what to do because she absolutely for sure did not. This was her son standing right in front of her. Did he know that? Did he know that she knew that? Had he been looking for her? Or was it just some random coincidence that he was in town?
