Julian had gotten here early, mainly because it gave him something to think about other than what was wrong with Emma. He still couldn't put his finger on it exactly, but he knew that something was wrong. His stomach was in knots as he tried to figure it out, and concentrating on something mundane like school work was exactly what he needed right now.
Looking up, he saw his partner approaching. He didn't know the guy well - he'd seen him in class of course, but he wasn't a good friend. It wasn't that he disliked him or anything, it was more that he didn't know him.
"Any of them are fine with me," Julian said. "But we need a plan. If we come up with a plan, a project should come a lot easier after that. What do you like best?"
