Dream nodded as he listened to her. He knew who she was, knew who Marius was, and that they came from a time very different from the one they were in now. It wasn't always easy for mortals to change their beliefs and views just because they were suddenly thrusted into a new time and place. Though he had to admit, Cosette seemed to have adjusted quite well.
"I see. Change is good, but some might not see that," he replied. "But as I'm sure you're aware, this is a dream and the Marius you see before you isn't the real Marius. He could just be a part of your subconscious. Perhaps it's you who isn't quite sure about the changes you've made."
Which wasn't a bad thing and his tone said so. But dreams usually were just a person's subconscious thoughts and feelings, and weren't something they were completely unaware of. It wasn't always clear, though. Sometimes they have to figure out it out.
