Mary Campbell & Frank Castle
Frank made a sound of agreement as he held up his flask, giving a lop-sided grin to the woman across from him, "I'm almost out of liquid painkiller. I definitely don't want to be here for more without a little help from my friend. You?"
Ariel had meant well -Frank was sure of that much- but Frank wanted to get back home as fast as he could. The whole night had been a form of torture for him. Who expected him to be good at small talk? Chatter hadn't been his thing even when he'd been a happily married man deployed to a war zone and unleashed on an endless sandbox filled with bad guys. Frank wondered if he had brought more booze would he have gotten to the point where he was willing to sing a little ditty to the random people across from him?
"Honestly? The only thing I think could have been worse for me? Karaoke. I haven't felt like singing in a really long time."
