Fat Amy & Nancy Gama
“No need to be sorry, you didn’t know! It isn’t like I come with a sign saying speak slowly I’m learning English,” she replied with a small laugh. Some people probably wouldn’t find it funny, but Nancy was laid back and knew most of the people around here spoke English. Only someone looking for trouble would use that as a reason to throw a fit, it wasn’t her fault she didn’t know and Nancy really didn’t mind at all. “You’re more than welcome to get ahead of yourself just don’t mind me if I miss something.”
Which was really Nancy’s biggest concern. If the woman was speaking in Spanish, then it was easier for Nancy to keep track of everything being asked. In English? It was a different story with her sure she’d miss a question or two depending on how many were asked.
“I know I’ve been here less than a year that’s about all I know for sure,” she admitted honestly. “How do you like Madison? Since you’ve been here for that long, have you done this type of event before?”
