Last date of the evening and then he'd be off to the mingle. He'd actually had fun, even moreso since he knew Valkyrie probably wouldn't punch him. He wasn't going to entirely discount it, because Valkyrie. At least this time, though, he'd know it wasn't personal. Theirs was an odd sort-of friendship.
He slid into the chair across from his last date. "So, how's the evening been treating you, Jo?"
He didn't know her, but he'd been in town long enough to know who she was. He knew people who knew people who knew her. Yes, it was confusing and complicated. That was the risk you ran being in town for half a decade.
