"It's... not so much of an itch," Murphy said, trying to figure out how to explain it. "It's more that I'm willing to do it and I really don't see a problem with it being a response to something."
He grinned. "I mean, back home? I got tossed in a jail cell for setting fire to the quarters of the guy who'd ordered my dad's death. I was young and easily pissed off. Which is... okay, not that different from now. I just have a little more restraint. But yeah, I was mourning and angry and thought that the guy deserved to pay -- I mean, all my dad was steal meds because I was sick."
Murphy was at the point in his life where he'd talk very frankly and openly about some things, and that was one of them. Getting him to actually open up with emotion about it? Yeah, that was a different story.
