"But no, when I say 'outer world', it's more about other dimensions. Less science fiction and more fantasy...or what you might consider urban fantasy, I think it's called now."
Not really her favorite genre, all things considered, but it was one she recognized.
"It was either that or working at the mechanics, but the former was hiring at the time, and I've done enough of my own repair work to not be completely lost. Plus, having a small child with me, couldn't really afford to just wait around and see what was available for my skill set."
If there was one thing she prided herself on, it was her ability to adapt and be practical about it.
