"They do," he replied. Most of the time, he dealt with the people who didn't always have good intentions, but that didn't sour him too terribly. Gibbs was a practical man and he understood the job had colored his world view, so he was able to look past it.
"It hasn't been too bad," he answered. "I work with one of the construction companies here, so it keeps me busy. I try to get out to the community events as much as I can, but I don't often meet people outside of work even with that. So it's nice that this can be low expectations." He appreciated that she didn't seem to have that look about her like a woman out for something serious and long term, two things he definitely wasn't interested in after the experiences he'd had already. No matter what alternate universe memories of a certain redhead tried to pull with him.
