For a man who had initially objected to the dog, that was officially Molly's though no one would ever know it around the house, Steve didn't hesitate to reach out and scratch Cap's ears when the dog came to join them. He was absolutely Steve's dog. At least he was the days he didn't prefer Bucky, and Steve didn't mind sharing at all.
"I suppose they're not old enough to be left on their own yet," he mused absently, nodding. They'd probably be alright, Kim was pretty level-headed and Shuri was already independent. He could trust them on their own to keep out of trouble, or at least to be able to get themselves out of it. He didn't have the same faith in many of the young people in his life. "Probably won't be by the time you two are there."
At least he hoped it wouldn't take that long.
"We could always squeeze them in here if we need to." There was Summer's room still empty, and if push came to shove Steve would move Keith in with him and Veronica without hesitation to put a roof over the girls' heads.
