Clones. That was new. Even for Sombra.
Fortunately, she seemed to remain clear of infectious pod spores. There were positives to having a large amount of tech and implants running through your system.
Leaving Birkhoff in the safety of their apartment, a few teleportation devices had been left to ensure quick arrival if needed. Between her own upgrades, Birkhoff's work, and Mal's magic, the apartment was practically impenetrable.
Lest you were an air-born creation as it seemed whatever was infecting others was.
While it seemed a list was being compiled for those needing a wellness check, Sombra had one person in mind. Aside from Udinov, she knew Birkhoff would want Nikita checked on as well. Sombra was certain she could handle the ex-assassin whether it was a clone or not. She'd gone rounds with some powerful foes in her time, both human and machine alike.
It was quiet when she slipped into Nikita's apartment, shimmering into view from her invisible state. Did she tell the other woman once she rescued her about sleeping in a plant pod? Sombra couldn't help but chuckle at the entire thing. Stepping onto one of the growing roots, she crushed it hard under her heel with a grin.
Unloading the sixty rounds from her machine pistol around the pod, the friction seemed to heat the vegetation enough to allow it to burn. Reaching a hand out, Sombra took hold of Nikita's arm to pull her up and away from it.
"Wakey, wakey, Bella Durmiente."
