He'd apologize for the not him, except he knew it wasn't anything to apologize for. It wasn't him, he wouldn't treat his friend that way and he really did want to spend his time with her no matter what they were doing. It just felt wrong to always be going to her with his issues, and he always had issues.
Some days were better than today and it was alright. He could deal.
Briar stayed quiet for a moment before answering her, pushing his fingers into the soil, finding comfort in the familiarity of it. "No," he said finally. "It's...I've got enough going on in my head you know? And now I'm just missing all these days. Can't tell if it's something I forgot or never knew in the first place."
