Deidre's arrival was hardly the strangest thing Allison had ever seen. It wasn't even the strangest thing she'd seen since arriving in Madison Valley. So she simply shrugged with a smile. "It's worse since school started back up. And will probably stay like that for a while."
As dark as Deidre seemed, as rough around the edges as she was, Allison was the literal opposite. She was dressed for work, which meant rehearsals, which meant leggings, a loose t-shirt, and her hair pulled up neatly. She was wearing a light layer of makeup and a bright, beaming smile. You could take the girl out of Hollywood, but...
But the other woman's less personable look meant nothing to her. She'd grown up with less personable. Her own father was a bit of a dick. The woman had smile and addressed her, it could be much worse.
