WHO Tim Drake-Wayne & Pod!Bruce Wayne WHAT Infecting another victim WHEN Wednesday afternoon WHERE Watchtower Arcade - Private Basement WARNINGS TBD, possibly just violence STATUS Closed | Incomplete
Something was going on in town and Tim wasn't sure what, but he knew it was weird that more than a few unrelated people were feeling under the weather, only to be just fine a day or so later. He was at the stage where he was collecting data and he did send Bruce and Cassie messages to be careful while he was investigating. He was more worried about his girlfriend than his mentor, but they covered the people he cared most about.
He was at the computer in the basement of Watchtower when he saw Bruce arriving via the monitors. Impatient to talk to his mentor, Tim just released the locking mechanism to allow him entry. In hindsight, that would prove to be a mistake but he was so focused on finding the problem, that it didn't dawn on him that his mentor might have succumbed already.
"I think I've narrowed down an area to search," he said as Bruce made his way into the room. "It might take two nights or so to canvas, but it's better than nothing."
The clone knew everything right now that Bruce Wayne knew so it knew where to go to find Tim. The host body it had used would have been a serious threat if left itself with as paranoid as it was. The knowledge gained from cloning it told the plant where it needed to strike next. Luckily Bruce Wayne, especially in working mode, wasn't one for showing emotion so it wouldn't give things away too easily.
"Show me the area you've identified. We can decide how to divide it up to search." The only question was how to infect Tim without raising his suspicion. Otherwise it would need to restrain or knock him out to allow the pod to grow. He knew that the determination Tim had could keep him moving long enough to raise a warning.
Tim inclined his head as his fingers sped across the keyboard to pull up the requested area. "It seems to be located here, though why that is, I'm not sure. It looks to be some sort of plant, but my sensors aren't reading it as such," he explained as he focused in on the large swath of land he had narrowed it down to. There were a lot of questions he had, a lot of backup plans in place to be executed depending on what it turned out to be.
"I think a standard search grid should be sufficient, but I would prefer to keep it to just you and I for now," Tim said. He didn't see any reason to put the girls at risk if he could help it.
