Ariadne & Leonard Snart
Laughter floated around them as people enjoyed the birthday celebration; Leonard was grateful he had a fierce enough glare to prevent people from aiming their water guns at him. The idea alone was enough to get a chuckle from him as he finished his macaroon. It was interesting to think Ariadne was nearly thirty when she was fresh-faced enough to pass for barely twenty. He had lost a lot of his youthful appeal when his hair had started to gray, but he was vain enough to know he could still turn heads.
"I'm wicked enough there is absolutely no way I need to worry about being shot by a water gun."
The smirk he gave her said more about his ability to steal hearts than his ability to rob banks or deter potential threats from recreational shooters.
"I suppose since it is your party I should be in a sharing mood. Hi, Ariadne, I like robbing banks, long rides on time-ships, and scaring law-abiding citizens out of their stuffy pants. Sometimes I dabble in arson as a casual interest. It's one of those things I do for a friend, yes?"
Mick would have really loved Ariadne. Leonard had thought it earlier but he was positive of it now. She was clever and funny and cut a cute cloth with her pretty face and quick wit. He missed his friend more than ever; it was nice to think he was on the verge of making a new friend in Ariadne if she weren't too upset by his honesty.
