Ella (with Max) & OTA
Ella was always happy to be in attendance for the birthday celebrations in the park. It really was quite nice and she loved to see what some of the favorites were because sometimes they inspired new ideas in her own cooking repertoire. She'd gotten herself and Max a plateful of food to share and then settled down on the grass.
Her son was quite happily running around in his shorts and sneakers, fully soaked by the sprinklers and laughing all the while. She did have a change of clothes for him once he decided he was finished so that way he wouldn't get a rash or anything hopefully, but that was a ways off if today would go anything like how it usually did. Some of the other children were running around as well, which was always good for her to see. She wanted him to be sociable with as many of the children his age as possible, which had been partly why she'd begun looking after some of the other refugee children. Ella was confident that once her son was born, that would become a viable career opportunity.
Someone moved near to her, enough that it blocked the sun from her and she turned towards them with a warm smile. "Hello!" she greeted, always happy to chat with just about anyone for a little while.
