Who: Max and Nico When: Monday afternoon Where: Hinkles What: Random encounter. Nothing special. Status: Closed; Match up
Despite her best efforts to consistently pack a lunch, Max always seemed to end up at Hinkles. It wasn't as if Chloe and her didn't have available food in the house to throw together into something edible, but more so that Max forgot...a lot. Many times she ended up distracted by something, a potential picture subject or merely her own thoughts, and then she would suddenly realize she was going to be late for work. She be out the door so fast that the thought packing a meal simply escaped the entire process. Afterwards, she'd remember, right around lunch time, the important part of her day that she had forgot.
Of course by then it was too late and her only options consisted mainly of Hinkles and little else. Sometimes she did go to Taco Bell or make a stop at one of the other food joints, but mostly she stuck to Hinkles because the food was just too good to pass up. That Monday afternoon was no exception. She was pushing her way into the restaurant, and making her way to the line as quickly as she could. She was late to work and she didn't want to be late from lunch; the last thing she needed was to give her boss another reason to consider firing her.
Unfortunately, she ended up almost colliding with a young woman with dark hair whom she didn't know. Max immediately reached out with her hand to stop time and rewind it. Everything shifted around her, an unknown blur of events to those around her, aside from Max herself. Well, possibly unknown. Since Landon, she'd become aware that there might be people here that could be unaffected by her ability to rewind time and remember seeing the change or have an inkling that something did happen to them.
The moment shifted back and the girl was unharmed beside her.
