It was one of the few days Clary left work not completely covered in flour. She considered herself lucky given how she had a tendency to be quite clumsy despite having gone through Shadowhunter training. It appeared aspects of her personality would not fade away even with pushing herself to achieve Shadowhunter status like she did. It was disheartening, but Clary found she usually didn't mind...aside from ending up with flour in her hair all the time. However, today she'd been spared the flour bath experience of her job at the bakery and in fresh clothes, she decided to give herself a bit of a gift and browse the local art store.
She knew it was a trap; walking into that place, seeing all the available mediums and types of canvas was sure to make her want to buy way too much of any of it and yet she still couldn't help, but make a stop there at least once a week to explore and see if there happened to be anything new that came into that delightful store. Besides, she wanted to find canvas and paint something that would fit into the apartment she shared with Jace. An image that meant something to both of them and while she had an idea, she didn't have the canvas to lay it out yet. It was a good enough excuse in her mind and she slipped into the shop, smiling to herself as she took in the sights of the art supplies, the smells, and not surprising the amount of people this place tended to attract.
However, determined to not be distracted, she made her way over to where there were plenty of types of canvas to choose from and started going through each of them. She wanted a surface that was large, but not huge because they simply did not have the wall space for that.
