Nyssa was feeling contemplative. That was all well and good. But she wasn't just contemplative about nothing in specific, she was thinking about her friendship with Chris and wondering what it really meant in the long run.

It found her wandering and standing on top of the one roof, looking down right sinister in the shadows, bow across her back, eyes focused on the city below. She whipped around when she heard a footstep.

Matt sighed. This was getting old. "I'm beginning to miss the days when a man could hide on a rooftop and be alone," he said out loud. The sight of the woman, even if he could see, wouldn't have intimidated him. Strange and terrifying women happened to be his specialty.

He just...he was tired. For some reason he'd let himself get comfortable here. Let himself believe that here, away from the corrupt law system of NYC, that things might be fine. He just wanted to be alone for a while and that never seemed to be possible anymore.

"I feel the same way, honestly." she said as she looked over at Matt and sighed, great people. She hated people. Mostly. She liked Mia, and Sara and Laurel, but that was really it. She just wasn't a huge people person. She killed people, she didn't like them.

"Sorry, gotta love sitting on rooftops to think, though, they really are the best possible locations." she laughed, though it was coldish and a little rough.

Matt crouched down, taking in the city below them. It was still so quiet. Almost painfully. He wished he could get used to it, but he just wasn't there yet. "They're better in the city. Higher up. No idea why it makes a difference but it really does."

First Daisy. Then Kate. He was exhausted and there wasn't a way to fix that. Like he had told Karen, at least if they were sent home, he still had her. And Foggy, too. It didn't do to go getting attached. Who knew who would be next? Julia? Marlene? They could all be gone tomorrow, the city ruined. Maybe it was stupid to get attached to anyone.

She smiled a touch, "It really does make a difference. Better view. The higher the better." she looked down herself and shook her head. "So quiet here but not the right kind of quiet. The mountains were better." she said lightly.

"You look broody." she commented as she brushed her hair out of her eyes and shook her head a bit. She was broody, who was she to talk?

"I've never been to the mountains. I don't know how I'd do with so little noise." Not having his sight also meant he'd miss the scenic views of mountains and lakes and the like. That he was used to, at least.

His eyebrows lifted and the corner of his mouth tilted in a smirk. "Do I?" he asked, shaking his head. Well, broody he may be, but he rather thought he deserved to be. "Sorry to hear that. Could be cause I came up her to brood."

"I was raised in the mountains. You'd be surprised, there is a lot of noise. Just not human-made noise. the mountains have their own sounds, the shifting of the earth, the crow of a bird overhead." she was a little melancholy about that. She missed those sounds.

A lot.

Then she burst out laughing, it was a little bitter though. "Damn and I was guessing you came up here to try your hand at being a bird." she snapped her fingers, obviously joking.
