"But I had my heart set on the baby one," Matt teased. Which was ridiculous. And honestly, he appreciated that York didn't seem intent on treating him with kid gloves. They'd never met, he had no idea what Matt's abilities were or what he could do. But he trusted him anyway.
He liked the idea of working his way through all of them. It had a lot of potential, actually. It sort of seemed like that might have been Zee's point in the first place. Also meant that, as York had sort of implied, Zee had a bit of time before having to switch things up all over again.
