Ariel & Sonya
Ariel didn't know what baby shark was in reference to, hadn't heard the song, so she just thought maybe the little girl had seen a baby shark at some point in her life. She hadn't yet experienced a kid who didn't burst into a fit of giggles at tickles so she grinned broadly when the little girl did, although she was careful to let up before the tickling became too much.
"Moms are supposed to protect you!" Ariel replied enthusiastically. Though she didn't have her mother, she knew parents were supposed to protect their children, to help them learn and grow in a way that was beneficial to them without throwing them into the deep end.
"Sharks can be really scary. I don't like them very much but you can trick them! One time, my friend Flounder and I were exploring a shipwreck and a shark came after us but we got it stuck! It tried to follow us through a hole that was too small for it!" She giggled because it had been rather ingenious.
