Gibbs chuckled at her assessment. "I'm not so sure about that, but I'll check in with her before I go and she'll no doubt tell me if I owe her a dance." It was safest to steal Emily for those sorts of things, even if he knew that wasn't what she wanted from him. She was pushy without being disrespectful, resourceful without being malicious, and he knew if she wanted to, she could get him to dance with someone he didn't know.
For now, he was hopeful he'd be able to get away with not dancing at all. "I've learned not to try to guess the whims of a teenage girl. I honestly don't know how Fornell does it. Her dad," he explained. "So far though? She's doing pretty alright for herself." He glanced over at Em and grinned before he turned his attention to the blonde.
"Do you have anyone you know here?" he asked, figuring it was an easy enough question for idle conversation.
