Barefoot and grinning from ear to ear, the eternal seventeen year old lazily lounged there against the tree beside the creek. The spot of shade offering a welcome departure from the heat, while Jesse softly hummed to himself and kept an eye on the surface of the water. With the fishing pole in one hand, and a bottle of cold beer in the other, he patiently lounged his afternoon away. There was no rush, no need to be anywhere at all. Sure summer school classes would pick up tomorrow, as would his part time gig at the library too. However for today Tuck was free to just relax and get in a bit of fishing.
Sure he hadn't really caught anything at all over the last hour or two, but it didn't seem to bother the kid in the least. Earnestly he was just glad to take a little break from the city life; and from all the noises and folks that were wandering around the town of Madison Valley. Oh he liked folks well enough, but sometimes Jesse found himself longing to just disappear for a spell. And when that mood struck it was usually to the woods that he would go. Here amid the beautiful scenery of nature the immortal could breathe a little easier. Just napping and relaxing to the accompanying sound of the babbling water. Or even humming the same melody over and over to himself as he offered the fishing line a tug whenever a brave fish gave a nibble to his baited hook.
