"I'd say," Mia agreed dryly. She was new though, so it didn't totally surprise her that she still kept her wits about her. Most other people had seemed to simply accept their fates as science experiments and went along with it. As much as it bothered her on a personal level, she sort of understood it. It was a defense mechanism in a way, just not one she thought she'd ever use for herself.
"Don't the apartment complexes have a pool?" she asked, although it seemed like it didn't really matter all things considered. "I mean, whatever floats your boat and all. I figure a house is just a ton of extra effort." She shrugged and took a sip of her drink. "Could always volunteer to be a guardian if you need the extra money." Maybe that was what the issue was.
