The best way to go about taking stock of the town was to meet people. Mia knew this and respected it, but that didn’t mean she particularly enjoyed it. People watching was more enjoyable to her, and doing so at the bar was even better. Nothing about this place made any kind of sense and it irked her that people were just so accepting of being kidnapped. What did any of it even matter? Were there any real world consequences? She took a seat at the bar near ish to another woman and ordered herself a whiskey, neat.
“Are you over this place too?” She was mildly curious, enough so to ask. It wasn’t like she had anything better to do anyway.
