Ella brightened a little at his compliment, always pleased to know that she was doing a good job of keeping him happy. "You're very sweet to say so, my love," she replied warmly. Though, she knew she would always try to improve her abilities regardless of whether or not it was asked of her.
She also appreciated his thoughtfulness is wiping the corner of her mouth and her hand rested against his briefly. It was a hard line to skate, to push without being too pushy. Ella worried for him, though if he would rather not talk about it, she would simply try to distract him more.
"I think my favorite would be the stops in Italy. Rome perhaps wins by a small margin. It was lovely to see such beauty and excitement. I was reminded of the Palace in areas, which was quite nice." Though she didn't miss the life she was leading in her world, she did appreciate some familiarity here and there. What really mattered most to her was that she had her childhood home for her children to grow up in.
"I think my least favorite stop was today," she admitted. "It was not very enjoyable knowing you were unhappy." Maybe not unhappy in the same way others were, but she had noticed.
