That was an understatement. A big understatement.
"But you get used to the parties here -- I can come to them, I'm just... not always so eager to put up with them. But this isn't a typical party," she pointed out. "Come on, we've got a freakin' cocktail hour and then dinner and then dancing. I can do that. I'll just pretend it's a slightly belated birthday party for me."
