Who: Brooke Maddox and Open What: Relaxing in the sun. Where: On the cruise When: Friday afternoon [Backdated!] Warnings: None at the moment but will update if this changes. Status: Open, In progress.
The time spent in Italy for Brooke had been for the most part good until she had lost the inner battle within herself on the second day. While deep inside, she knew the chances of her mother being here was slim to none, she hadn’t been able to stop herself from trying to hit the hotel nearby that her mother always stayed at while visiting. All she wanted was to see her mom, tell her about what had been happening back home, and for once not be the one having to fix things in the Maddox family. Just once she wanted to be the kid rather than feeling like she had to pick up the pieces when her parent’s fucked up.
Everything turned into a bust and even with already knowing it, Brooke was still pissed off. Why couldn’t her mom be counted on just once? While part of her knew her mom wasn’t to blame, she couldn’t help herself if this place wasn't the same from her world. Brooke still had no idea how that all worked and she wasn't in the mood to figure it out. No matter what even back in her own world, her mother had decided to stay away after everything. Brooke hadn’t come first for her own mother and her father while he acted like it for the public, he never put her first. Brooke tried to enjoy herself in Monaco and Spain, but her mind kept going back to Italy and her family.
Refusing to let her parent’s win, especially on this beautiful cruise, she decided to go chill by the pool with some alcohol and get some color. Since the ship was stuck at sea today, it was the perfect time without missing anything. Finishing up a water bottle, she grabbed a bottle of vodka that she had bought while it Italy, hiding a few different bottles in her stuff so no one knew about it. While she was of legal age in some of the places for drinking, she wasn’t sure if the bars on the ship would let her do it, especially when her fake ID was back in Madison.
Pouring the vodka into her water bottle, she closed the vodka and put it back, then put the cover back on her water bottle. Changing into a bikini, glancing only for a moment at the scar on her arm from the attack. A hint of smile showed up on her lips at hearing Jake talk about scars being sexy before pushing the thought away. Nope, today was turning the mind off and getting some sun. On the way out of her room with her water bottle, she grabbed her sunglasses that she bought and went up to the pool. Picking a spot where she wouldn’t get wet if any idiot decided to try to do a cannonball to get people near wet, she sat down. Putting her water bottle by her feet, she relaxed in the seat with her sunglasses on to take in the sun. This was exactly the type of day Brooke needed.
