Cassie BR & Briar Moss
The gardens had been good until they hadn't been and things were still tense between them. It felt a lot like something was building, frustrations or anger or what Cassie honestly wasn't sure, but she wasn't going to let it happen without doing her best to stop it. If the gardens hadn't been enough to get him to open up, maybe something sort of similar like the bonfire would.
Since she had no idea if they would have graham crackers, she'd gone to the weirdly attentive and helpful cruise staff and they'd hunted down a package for her. Cassie'd taken them, grabbed Briar, and dragged him off to the beach just like he'd done to her in Monaco. She didn't let go of him as they followed the path to the bonfire, not until she found a good spot for them to sit that was sort of close enough that they could feel the heat but not close enough to be roasting marshmallows.
"Here," she said gruffly as she thrust the package of graham crackers into his hands. Cassie was mad at him, but she was honestly mad because he wasn't talking to her more than anything else. She thought she'd earned that much, but apparently not. Patience had never really been her strong suit. Neither was talking about her feelings. At least she wasn't telling him everything was fine though.
