Mia had maybe taken a little too much joy in beating her mentor in hand to hand combat. It was clear that this version of Nyssa had less experience than the one she'd trained with, but she was still a force to be reckoned with. She'd had to use pretty much every last trick in the book and utilize every bit of information she knew about her mentor's style. It had worked out for the better because now she had a safe roof over her head and she felt a lot more secure in her new found situation.
Madison Valley was a weird place to put it mildly. Living in the past wasn't something she was interested in doing on a good day, much less these days. Having the empty canvas of the finished basement to do with as she pleased. It kept her busy since she didn't have a job yet and she wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Mia was feeling a little at loose ends so she decided to seek out Nyssa to see what she was up to. Maybe some meditation would help her feel more settled, although she never did put much stock in that.
She found her mentor in the garage, laying down mats. "You know, I would have helped if you'd asked," Mia commented as she stepped inside, already pulling her hair back into a ponytail. She definitely wasn't about to let Nyssa do the rest of it on her own.
