I'm from a not-so-great neighborhood in Chicago. I grew up in an urban area where the color of my skin marked me as something I never was, never wanted to be, and never chose in any way, shape, or form. The fact you dealt with men who weren't great where you were is just your corner of the world. That's not the whole planet. I don't judge people for the prejudice of Chicago. I reserve my opinion for after I've given them a chance to prove themselves.
In America, we call that innocent until proven guilty. You're from America, right? It's still the same country 21 years into the future?
