Briar & Cassie BR
Briar definitely didn't want her getting too soft on him either, liked her just the way she was without all the stuff girls were usually interested in. Gentle and affection he could do easily enough, had more than enough in him to go around to those who had earned the place in his life, but they didn't spend time together to talk about their feelings. They spent time together because they knew they didn't have to with each other; they understood one another.
He flashed a smile and shook his head. "Don't mind it so much if that's how it's coming." He'd never have thought he'd be one to turn down sweets before he'd come here, wouldn't have thought he'd care much at all what he ate as long as he got to do it, but that had been long ago proven wrong and he liked that Cassie had taken note of that, remembered that he didn't care for a lot of what folks his age around here did. "So long as you're not gonna be bleating about if if it's overdone."
If there was one thing Briar knew about the terrible little puffs of nothing it was that there was a technique to cooking them that he had no interest in mastering.
