He was new. It all made sense, which would have been the case sooner had Kate not jumped to her own conclusions. It was a thing that happened with her more often than not. One would expect it to slow with age, which it did. At least she didn't go jumping head first into the fray as often.
"Right. Got it. That would be the welcoming committee. One of them anyway. They're not helpful. At all. The least helpful ever. Fortunately for you, you found me."
With a thumbs up which transitioned smoothly into a finger gun, Kate helped herself to collect Hansel's pile of 'shit'. "I can read through this while we walk...that way," she gestured with a wave. "Sunday night? Hinkles is the place. It's the place any day of the week, but definitely tonight. You can't say no to the burger and fries plate."
The mention of sugar counter and food were at the forefront of Kate's mind. It was clear that this guy wasn't from any current time, but it didn't matter when or where you were from. It didn't take a genius to figure out when someone was referring to sugar levels.
Already riffling through the paperwork, Kate raised a brow and glanced back at him. "...Your name's Hansel? As in Hansel and Gretel?" He sure as hell wasn't Hansel from Zoolander. "That needs a rewatch, I think."
