We don't have 'Mother's Day, in my time, and looking back, I think it's a pity. So many mothers in my time have to run a house hold on their own and with multiple children getting in the way, not even knowing if half of them will survive their fifth year or not, and then dealing with the brats as well as the good ones.
If my own mother was here, or heck, even my aunt, they would've definitely appreciated the brunch served today. Not the least because it's a meal neither of them had to cook or clean up after.
