Riddick chose to take the punch full-force to the side of his face, grimacing before giving a snarl which was nearly as far away from human as Riddick himself felt. His forward tackle connected with Faith to knock her to her back; Riddick followed her all the way down. She could roll away from him, but he was feeling a lot more serious about the fight after her punch rattled his brain in his skull as badly as any beating he'd ever taken before.
"Not bad. Not good either. Next one's mine."
Some men were stupid enough to say they wouldn't hit a woman. Riddick didn't have that problem. Faith was fast and he couldn't anticipate if she'd roll or try to kick him. She had the option to go either direction with a roll. A kick could connect with Riddick's chest or abdomen. Neither option was a fun or comfortable one. He'd taken enough beatings to be able to handle anything she chose to throw his way though and he almost hoped she'd move faster still so he had to really plan how to get her.
Swinging a hard right, Riddick tried to catch Faith with a punch of his own. He didn't put one hundred percent into it, but he would say he was at a good seventy-five. If he connected, she'd have a headache to match his unless he was overestimating what kind of hit she could take.
