If this had been before all the killing back in her world, Brooke probably would have made a comment about him having no spine or something like that, but she wasn’t that Brooke. There were more important issues in her life that didn’t involve being a bitch; however, she just didn’t care right now. Everything was hitting a boiling point and she didn’t have the alcohol she just bought to deal with, her dad to yell at, or the guy she was sleeping with causing her to unleash on someone who didn’t deserve it over a cigarette. This Brooke tried to apologize for her bad actions since it was apart of being a better person. Being a better person sucked, but at least she was trying, right?
“Yeah, I really doubt it’s going to turn around, especially when I shouldn’t even be here.” Brooke should be on the way to her mother’s hotel room that she always had set aside for when in town, but Brooke used it at times when needing to get away. Tonight was one of those nights only that changed by being dropped in this shit show. Her eyes watched him, trying to figure him out or more figure out his story. Then again right now she didn’t really care, but she knew he wasn’t old enough to be drinking. Maybe if they were in other countries; however, they were in America.
She was getting ready to bail, figuring she’d go find a store to buy alcohol from rather than hang out here only that changed when he spoke up. “Of all the things you go with nice night?” Her tone wasn’t the harshness as before but more amusement by his choice. “It’s alright other than the fact of having other plans back home and can’t go through with them. So are you someone else who got stuck in this place?” She thought about saying hell, but bit her tongue for the moment.
