Jesse Tuck wasn't really put off by the abrasiveness of the stranger, nor did he feel any desire to bite back at all. Honestly the eternally young man tended to breeze right through his unending life; simply going with the flow while enjoying his explorations and adventures. Even her disgust with his choice didn't phase Tuck at all, because he never let the opinions of others really dictate how he lived. Hand rolling his cigarettes, and savoring the taste and smell of the cherry flavored tobacco had been something he had been doing for decades now. Easily longer than she had been alive two to three times over. Still instead of seeking to annoy her further Jesse had once again gone with the flow; putting out his cigarette and giving Brooke space as well.
Oh he was a tad surprised when the blonde young woman suddenly followed him over to the new booth. When she crossed her arms, and started to address Tuck once more, the young man glanced up from his glass and sighed softly to himself for a second. However the unexpected apology gave Jesse pause, and for a moment he just looked up at her. Studying the girl intently in silence before finally offering another little shrug of his shoulders. "It's fine, miss. I took no real offense, and you're entitled to your opinions. Sorry to hear that you are in a mood, and I hope things turn around for you and whatnot." With a slight smile offered up, Jesse turned his gaze back to the drink in his hand, and as he raised it to his lips the kid took a sip at last.
With a grin the young man nodded his head and looked back to the bartender, signaling that he'd take another drink when the man got a chance. When Tuck realized that the blonde was still there though he focused on her again; not terribly sure just what to say since their exchanges so far had been...well far from pleasant. It wasn't hard to see that she had no desire to share why she was in a mood, so inquiring about it just wasn't in the cards. Plus Tuck doubted she had any desire to really linger around him for long either, since the scent of his cherry tobacco and smoke still clung to his clothing as well. However to avoid being rude Jesse found himself finally speaking up again, trying to extend some measure of polite conversation while leaving her with the option to just walk away too.
