Hiccup & Erik (+ Aurie & Dragons)
He very nearly let go when Erik lifted their clasped hands, but it was more the surprise that had him just moving with it. Any kind of physical affection like that wasn't typical from Erik and it meant the world to Hiccup. He couldn't even pretend he wasn't blushing, however faint it was, because this kind of closeness and the feelings it inspired in him wasn't something he'd ever experienced with another man. Hiccup had only ever felt this way around Astrid.
"Of course," he said, cupping his hand around Erik's cheek a bit more. There was a moment there where he thought maybe it would be a good idea to lean forward just that little bit, but before he could do anything else, Aurie came running over with an empty cup and climbed onto Erik's lap. Hiccup pulled away, a little startled and a lot like he'd gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. It was a good thing the little girl had come when she did, asking for something to drink. Otherwise he could've made a terrible mistake.
"I'll get it," he volunteered, and took the cup before he left, unable to really look at Erik at the moment. Hiccup was a mess and he wasn't afraid to say he was taking advantage of the opportunity to hide for a few moments.
